As the month of July comes to a close, the extreme heat continues. Forecasters say that only a tropical storm will bring relief to the drought.
Everything suffers from the hot, dry conditions. We keep some of the grass in the yard watered as well as the garden and some of the trees. I also keep a few pans filled for the birds and other critters that may be in need of a drink.
The Honey Bees seem especially appreciative for a place to collect clean water to take back to the hives. There is a constant buzz of their coming and going around the water pans.
